Extension Services Cheetah Malawi has build up an extension service that has been unsurpassed in the paprika industry. Its main focus is to train small scale farmers to establish continuous improvement and provision of a quality crop. The extension service achieves this through the provision material in form of field training, leaflets, manuals, training posters, field visits, training of group leaders and facilitators. It also makes avaliable high quality seed of suitable varieties. The extension team has adopted the IPM (Integrated Pest Management) tools for safer and healthier of agricultural commodities. Cheetah is also developing GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) implementation in the paprika industry to comply with international standards of agricultural production. It has also implemented a tracking and tracing system to ensure control and identification from source to destination and vice versa. A range of extension materials are available for order. |
